The receptionist speaks good English. She explained the hostel's rules and showed us around. The room was a comfortable size for all 4 of us. Only 2 complaints - the stairs for the bunk beds were too close to the wall so…

Good for a night on your way to Malaysia
Only stayed here one night but was able to book a tour to Penang right from the hostel. Generally the place was clean and comfortable.
