Because a lot of travel still does not fit in a form, and everybody knows it.
Online booking solved the easy case completely. One room, two nights, one card — nothing beats a booking site, and we would not try. What it never solved is everything with a shape: eight rooms for a wedding, a month for a work rotation, a ground-floor room for someone who cannot manage stairs, an invoice that has to carry a purchase order number.
Those bookings still happen by phone, because the answer depends on a conversation with the property. The problem is the phone part is slow: you call six places, you wait on hold, you explain the same thing six times, and the first three do not call back.
Callstay is that conversation, done quickly. You explain it once. We search live availability while you talk, we deal with the properties, and we book it.
What we are not
We are not a hotel and we do not own rooms. We book properties on your behalf and are paid a commission by them, which is why the service costs you nothing and why you pay the same rate as booking direct. When booking direct would be cheaper or simpler, we will tell you.
