Tucked away as Victorian mansion, surrounded by woodland, wooden panelling could have been gloomy, but friendly staff and very comfortable bed made an enjoyable stay. Lift would have been helpful, but guess listed status…

All good but cooked breakfast was not available as “gas was off” on first morning.
The hotel is in a great position in great surroundings. May be a bit far to walk in to Lanark for some.
